Week 33 || Project 52
Summer is ending, rain is falling, leaves are about to change color...yep, I'll say it again. Summer is ending. Not too sure how I feel about it. The 100 degree days are not too enjoyable and I'm really looking forward to my fall schedule, apple cider and fall fashion, but I absolutely love summer, frozen yogurt runs and late nights. So as summer is coming to a close I did two especially summer-y things this past week. A trip to the drive-in and a Chicago White Sox game. What can be more summer-y!
The sunsets always seem to be more special at the drive-in :)
My personal favorite part of the drive-in...the intermission [so classic!] :)
and a few days later a drive to the city for a White Sox game!
The clouds were absolutely MAGICAL!
and believe it or not...the first fireworks I've seen all summer!
Have a lovely week! Oh, and by the way SOX WIN!

Ashleigh || 2013 Senior
Ashleigh is an absolutely beautiful senior. She totally impressed me with her modeling once she got in front of the camera. She only has one more year of high school and then she's looking to go into journalism (which I think is awesome!) We had tons of fun hanging out downtown...rain started falling as soon as we started shooting but we made it work and it cleared up eventually! I had SO much fun hanging out with this girl and with her beautiful red locks and modeling talent ;) Congrats Ashleigh!

Week 29-32 || Project 52
I know, I know...four weeks of Project 52?! I am a little behind. July caught me off guard and I slacked when it came to Project 52. In times like this, I realize that however much I have to go shooting, I need to remember to just go shooting to shoot. I need to do what I love just on my own time so I remember why I love it so much.
So with all of that out in the open and behind us, let's catch up on the last four weeks!
Remember a month ago on week 25 when I posted some wet plates? Well, I made some more on Week 29. I enjoyed the adventure so much this summer and I'm going to continue on and take some more classes on it in the fall.
I couldn't pick just one image for Week 30 because it was just a great week. Part of the week I spent with high school students at Highpoint with Harvest. It was such a blessing to lead the students in worship and spend time with them. The photos above were captured on a hike we took to go rock climbing. God's creating is so amazing!
Week 31 I spent with some junior highers at Jam Camp with Harvest. This picture holds a special place in my heart. God moved in mighty ways during this week.
And finally...week 32! Every summer Harvest holds an event called Praise in the Park where we have the privilige to gather in downtown Naperville and praise Jesus. It's always a highlight of my summer and it was so much fun!
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful week and enjoy the rest of your summer :)

July in Instagrams || Personal
1. Iced coffee almost every day. 2. Antiquing is always good for the soul. 3. "Coffee! If you're not shaking, you need another cup." So much truth. 4. This pillow worries me. 5. Trip to the lake house with Mandy. 6. Drinking way too much coffee and lemon water out of mason jars. 7. Beautiful clouds and sunsets after a walk at the equestrian center. Bliss. 8. Worship practice for Jam Camp. Love this band! 9. Shooting plates with the hasselblad in the studio :) 10. Six flags day for work. BEST.JOB.EVER. 11. Typical...no comment ;) 12. I am obsessed with clouds. 13. This month's motto. It was an insane month and this little post-it on my MacBook kept me motivated. 14. Spontaneous ice cream trips. 15. 12 hour work days before camp. 16. I didn't get to take many instagrams at Jam Camp or Highpoint but it was great. Sleeping outside, canoeing and beach days. God did so much and I learned so much.
I just cannot believe it's August. This month flew by faster than any other. The summer semester ended, I went on quite a few road-trips and got a lot done. But here comes August: the fall semester is beginning, my internship is ending soon and more weddings.
1. Read Proverbs 31 every day.
2. Book a flight for Georgia!
3. Get back on track with journaling.
I hope your July was beautiful and your August is exciting! Enjoy this last month of summer.
Love,
Alison
