7 Things I Love Friday || Inspiration

TGIF...seriously! In a few hours I will be hitting the road to the lake house for some much needed r&r. Lots of good things I love this week :)

1. Kinfolk. Need I say more? Seriously amazing artists, writers, photographers, creatives...love everything about all they do. I received volume four in the mail this week and I am oh, so excited!
2. Let's just start off and say if you haven't read the Hunger Games you are missing out! It's pretty awesome. I saw the movie at the midnight premiere back in April (because I guess I'm a nerd) and I received the DVD this week and I've already watched it once and am preparing for round two... ;)
3. Mmmm I am a candle lover. Not a big fan of heavy, sweet scents so this eucalyptus mint candle is right up my alley. Light and fresh!
4. The founding and senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, James Macdonald, recently released a new book. I just started it and I am already loving it. I know this book will challenge me so much. Church is a vertical thing...not horizontal.

[these last 3 are pretty special...]

5. Avett Brothers is just pure goodness. Have a listen to their new album 'The Carpenter'.
6. Frozen raspberries in water. Simple as that. Or any frozen fruit in water. Acts as an ice cube and makes it yummy.
7. Trader Joe's trail mix is the bomb. Gives me some energy in the middle of a long day!

What are some things you've been LOVING this week!?

P.S. Since I will be at the lovely lake house for the next few days, August in Instagrams and this week's addition of project 52 will be up once I get back :)

Big Daddy Fest || Events

"a celebration of family & friends on the anniversary of 'big daddy's birthday' he died in October 2000; two weeks before a big birthday celebration & we knew he would want us to continue to celebrate... Big Daddy Fest was born"
-Diane Ancede

 Over the weekend I photographed Big Daddy Fest. About a year ago I photographed Diane's garden; the most beautiful garden ever! Enjoy these special moments from the fest!

Week 35 || Project 52

New beginnings are here. Best friends moving to Colorado and lots of friends moving to the city. I took  a lot of time to debrief this week. Tea, reading, a new copy of Kinfolk, reading through Hebrews.

This verse has been a constant reminder of what Christ did for us and the power in the name of Jesus.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

7 Things I Love Friday || Inspiration

I am so excited to start featuring 7 things I love on the blog every friday! The best part is that you can share with me all the stuff you love!

1. I ordered some Warby Parker glasses 2 months ago and I love mine! I got the Japhy in Whiskey Tortoise for only $95...say what?! Such a steal!
2. The treat receipt is back at Starbucks! Get my morning coffee and drop by after class or work and get a cold grande for $2. Woot! My favorite is a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with 2 shots-so good!
3. If you don't know who John Mark McMillan is, what are you doing?! His voice is so unique and I am loving his album Economy. Check it out on Spotify.
4. Fall is fast approaching so it's time to put the dozens of sandals away. In the fall, boots are my go-to staple. But I went out on a limb and bought a pair of loafers! I am absolutely loving loafers. What do you think?
5. While at camp this summer I broke my watch...all the more reason to buy a new one ;) I have been eyeing this one from UO for literally two years.
6. I started class this week and while I do like to use Evernote I am always carrying around a Moleskine notebook. Always have something to write down!
7. Last but not least...this is definitely my favorite. I've been using this gem for a few months now and it is a life saver! I've tried a lot of self-tanners out there and none of them have worked well for me. This stuff is $15 for 6 fl oz. and it looks completely natural. I always like to keep a bit of a glow and this has worked so well for me! I can even use it on my face. Check it out!

Now that I've shared some of my favorite things with you, what are your favorites this week?

Wednesday Design || Inspiration

I'm kind of in love with interior design blogs. I spend quite some time looking at them and of course, Pinterest to find inspiration. I always need to switch up my environment to stay inspired.
Live inspired and be inspired

Enjoy a few of my favorite spaces. I am a sucker for white walls decked out with beautiful galleries and exposed brick. What are your favorite accents?

Week 34 || Project 52

Summer has officially ended. Classes 9-4. Wooohoooo...no but really, wooohooo! I'm actually really looking forward to the fall & this semester. This is my last fall semester before I get my degree! Yesterday was the last day of summer: laundry drying on the clothes line [no better smell!], tomatoes with salt, lemon water, gelato. Feeling a little nostalgic as I write this...I feel as if summer has just passed me by. I can hardly believe pumpkin spice lattes, scarves, and boots are coming my way. Lots of changes coming but I am so ready.

 Oh and by the way, something else exciting happened this week! My store was launched this week and it's quite exciting. I'll be updating this sporadically with personal work and fine art photography which can be purchased. So now you can purchase prints and products like canvas wraps from your senior session, wedding, or just some of my work! Yaaaay!

Paul & Hannah || Wedding

 When Hannah first contacted me 13 months ago about photographing her wedding day, I was overjoyed. I can't say enough good things about Paul and Hannah. They're great people to be around, fun, quirky, goofy, inspiring, joyful and totally in love. From the beautiful location, Christ centered ceremony, vintage DIY decor and wonderful family and friends-Paul & Hannah's day was unforgettable. Weddings are always tear jerkers for me and their wedding was no exception [I have to admit I shed a tear or two going through all their photos.] Hannah was the most easy-going bride I've ever worked with and such a joy. Paul is definitely one of the goofiest people and made our picture time so much fun. I just love them :) I could write and write about their day but this blog post has to end at some point ;)

Congrats Paul & Hannah!
